Permit Radar is run by Brian S. Fuselier, doing business as Fuselier Labs. This page says what the service collects, why, and who else handles it.
What is collected
- From the sign-up form: your name, email, trades and area. Optional: company, cell phone, shop address, how far you'll drive, and zip codes.
- Technical details at sign-up: your IP address, used to limit repeated sign-ups, and your browser type, which is kept in your record.
- Billing details, if you subscribe: Stripe handles your payment. Permit Radar keeps a Stripe customer ID and subscription ID. Your card number is never stored here.
- In your own browser: after you sign up, your email address and first name are saved on your device so the page can show you've signed up. That data stays on your device.
How it is used
- To send your morning permit email, matched to your trades and area.
- To work out the distance from your shop to each job, if you give an address.
- To run your trial and billing, and send emails about them.
- To answer you, and to call or email you about your account if you gave a phone number.
- To email the operator a copy of your details when you sign up or change your sign-up, and to alert the operator when you subscribe or cancel, or when a payment fails, is refunded or is disputed.
Permit Radar doesn't send text messages, show ads, or use analytics or advertising trackers. Your information is never sold or shared for anyone's marketing.
Who else handles it
These companies help run the service and receive only what they need:
- Cloudflare: hosts the site and stores sign-up records.
- Stripe: takes payments and manages subscriptions.
- Resend: delivers email.
- U.S. Census Bureau geocoder: turns an address you type into a map point, in the sign-up form or the radius map on the home page.
- Esri (ArcGIS): supplies map images on the site.
- Google Maps and Earth: the Open in Maps, Directions and 3D view links in the emails open Google. Directions links include your shop's location. Nothing goes to Google unless you click.
- Google Fonts and cdnjs: supply fonts and page code. Like any website request, these can see your IP address.
Information may also be shared if the law requires it, or if the business is sold or transferred.
How long it is kept
Your records stay on file while you use the service and after you leave, until you ask for them to be deleted. Unsubscribing stops the emails, and doesn't delete your record. Stripe and Resend keep their own records under their own rules.
Your choices
- Stop the emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- See, fix or delete your information: email hello@fuselierlabs.com. Requests are answered within 30 days.
Other things to know
- Permit Radar is for businesses, and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
- Permit details in the emails come from public government records.
- No online service is perfectly secure. Reasonable steps are taken to protect your information, and no one can promise it will never be exposed.
- If this page changes, the date above changes too. Big changes are sent by email.
